Huidi Xiang makes sculptural objects, installations, and systems that examine world-making processes and the coexistence of multiple contexts and narratives in late capitalism. Her work explores the spatial and temporal effects of inhabiting both virtual and physical worlds. Born in Chengdu, China and based in Brooklyn, Xiang holds an MFA in Art from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Architecture and Studio Art from Rice University. Her work has been exhibited internationally at venues including OCT Art & Design Gallery, Lydian Stater, LATITUDE Gallery, Contemporary Calgary, Hive Center for Contemporary Art, and Miller ICA. She has participated in residencies including the NARS Foundation International Residency Program, ACRE Residency Program, Millay Colony for the Arts, and Project Row Houses Summer Studios.
